Retailers rely on variable data printed labels to control the
movement of goods in the supply chain and prices at the till. Integrity of data is
critical, and variable data labels must be supplied to apparel manufacturers on time and with short lead times.
ITL has developed a data management system that can receive a retailer's variable data order information, process this without any manual re-keying and interface the data directly with the printing process at numerous printing locations around the world. Variable data orders are managed online using the Group's proprietary supply chain application Speed-Track which enables vendors to place these orders together with any requirements for woven, promotional hangtags and care labels as a complete package. This system is tightly integrated with the Group's ERP system for additional functionality and ease of use. This online data management and printing system has proven to be robust and reliable for many of the world's largest retailers and their vendors. Variable data labels can be printed using laser, thermal and litho print technologies. |
